The revised cut-off marks for this year's Grade-5 Scholarship Examination have been released this evening, the Examination Department announced.
Accordingly, the overall minimum cut-off mark has been reduced from 163 to 157 for the Sinhala medium and from 159 to 152 for Tamil medium students.
Last week, Education Minister Bandula Gunawardane told Parliament that the decision to reduce the cut-off mark was taken in conformity with the budgetary proposal to increase the number of bursaries from 15,000 to 25,000 this time.
