    Saturday, 30 January 2010 07:52 AM

    Saturday, 30 January 2010 07:04 AM

    Good question bro...

    Saturday, 30 January 2010 06:32 AM

We are paccking up our bags to leave Sri lanka for good to avoid an anarchy by MR and his family.

    Saturday, 30 January 2010 12:06 AM

What are these proposed changes? Let us see them first!

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:29 PM

RESPECTABLE PEOPLE, should comment on important issues!

    Friday, 29 January 2010 06:33 PM

If all are agreed that the Constitution should be changed, then, why not support it?

    Friday, 29 January 2010 05:15 PM

So, the government is afraid of going-in for a General Election?

    Friday, 29 January 2010 04:04 PM

one time Wimal was a good politician and was the dicisive speaker of politics but today he is better than Mahinda wijesekara,Rajitha senarathna or even SB just a LG washing matchine

    Friday, 29 January 2010 03:55 PM

WHY DONT THEY TAKE OVER THE WHOLE OPPOSITION, GOOD FOR DEMOCRACY, AND GOOD LUCK TO MY MOTHERLAND, MAY TRIPLE GEM BLESS

    Friday, 29 January 2010 03:38 PM

Karu Jayasuriya, how about going back to where you belong!

    Friday, 29 January 2010 03:27 PM

Yes Janatha, you are so right. We should start reminding them how they treated Mrs.B.

    Friday, 29 January 2010 03:06 PM

Why do you want to negotiate with 19 opposition members to get 2/3 majority. Are u not sure of getting it at the next General collections after a "resounding" victory at the Presidential elections?. You cannot loose popularity within 2 months for sure.

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:19 AM

    Good move

    Friday, 29 January 2010 02:59 PM

Is this DEMOCRACY ? Just by buying 19 opposition members you are planning to have a 2/3 majority.

It is going to be very easy for the Govt. by guarantteing those members 8 years of employement with all the comforts and commissions.

    Friday, 29 January 2010 01:59 PM

The proposed dissolution is just a threat..once another 19 ministers have been bought over (is that Rs 30m each??) there will be a 1982 style referendum to keep all the crossovers on side and extend parliament by another 6 years. I'd say that the Rajapakse bandwagon is set to roll for the long term...lets say another 17 years of SLFP will be enough to build a new jewel of Asia...probably with a Chinese navel base at Trinco to boot.

    Friday, 29 January 2010 01:52 PM

If the party/GVt sees it fit for him to give out the comment who are YOU to question it?

    Friday, 29 January 2010 09:08 AM

Does this make sense in the context of the proposed dissolution of the Parliament on 5th February?

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:46 AM

That means the number of Ministers will further increase by 19.

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:43 AM

    democracy ?

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:40 AM

The Election Commissioner in his speech made some startling revelations. It is such a sad story when we read of politics in Sri Lanka. A 2/3rd majority can be a good thing to change the constitution. but on the other hand, it can have some drastic ruining consequences. The present set of politicos are capable of creating anachy in the country if they had 2/3rd majority.

    so people.... be careful

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:37 AM

    Money money money

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:35 AM

Good plan. After getting 2/3 majority at the next elections, we can put on the final touches.

Don't worry. This SLFP govt. of Mahinda Rajapaksa will not remove the civic rights of Ranil or Sarth F.

We can all remeber how JRJ and Ranil W used their 2/3 majority to remove the civic rights of the then SLFP leader Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike allowing her a court trial.

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:35 AM

Wimal, what's the current going rate per M.P?

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:32 AM

Who is this man to be the spokesman??

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:31 AM

    Go for it

    Friday, 29 January 2010 08:24 AM

    Niyamai.....................
