Gas prices remain unchanged

The price of domestic gas will remain unchanged for the next two months despite distributors seeking an increase in the price from tonight, Consumer affairs Minister Bandula Gunawardena told reporters a short while ago. He said the government has decided to remove the tax component on gas as a relief to the distributors. (SR)

    Interesting. Prior to presidential elections, price was reduced. Now that that the Parlimentary elections are coming up, price will remain same for TWO months (Till elections are over). There after exponential rise in prices for sure.
