Sitting Bull Tuesday, 06 September 2011 01:21 AM

Now everybody blames the pitch and not our batsmen who didn't even do justice to our bowlers. Aneyda kiyanne!!!

    Malintha Tuesday, 06 September 2011 01:31 AM

Dear our patriot people working for west. Start criticising ICC.

    Carl Tuesday, 06 September 2011 02:17 AM

Embaracing and totally not required. our spinners have traditionally done very well in sri lankan pitches and there was absolutely no need to try to do anything out of the ordinary and end result was humilation and impact on our own top batsman being unable to dominate. All those responsible shoukd be taken to task.

    Ajithkumar Tuesday, 06 September 2011 03:29 AM

How Come He is the Match Referee for almost 95% of our matches ... Some thing to think about

    kugan Tuesday, 06 September 2011 03:39 AM

if they win that's the record but if THEY LOOSE then critical for anything from the air to flush that is what the west is. but good luck mother Lanka

Kiri Putha Tuesday, 06 September 2011 04:14 AM

I hope that ICC has set up a bench mark for preparation of test pitches including some guide lines for curators. ICC should consult the two umpires of their assessment or the opinion of the pitch condition throughout the game. It’s surprise to hear negative comments even after Aussis have won!

    Sammy Tuesday, 06 September 2011 05:07 AM

@ kugan they won and still they are giving a negative report. The fact that two teams with strong batting lineups had recorded low scores in this match means something's wrong with the pitch. Let's not be prejudiced.

    danushka Tuesday, 06 September 2011 05:52 AM

when conditions are fast bowler friendly and when its swings like a boomrang -it's an awesome surface .. when the pitch is a spinning one then its a poor wicket .... there were almost three centuries scored in the Galle match .So how come one say it was a bad pitch .It was batsman lacking skill and discipline rather than the pitch.

Kolitha Fernando Tuesday, 06 September 2011 03:37 PM

I think something fishy is going on with Sri Lankan Cricket. How come all the sudden we have seen an under prepared Test wicket in Galle?

    faqi Tuesday, 06 September 2011 06:17 AM

Cricket generates a lot of money, why not bring our grounds/pitches to international standards, if we are to be a first class cricketing nation.

    godfrey Tuesday, 06 September 2011 08:48 AM

Warne always does a good job. This must be a set up!!

    Appuhami Tuesday, 06 September 2011 08:52 AM

We are earning lot of money through cricket, but still we couldn't create a good grounds and pitches with standards level. Cricket administration must have to rethink about these kind of failures and have to get correct decisions. Most of the peoples in srilanka like cricket. In hear i request for all of cricket lovers from cricket administration to get best actions for these kind of issues.

Is it only the Galle pitch that is "poor" in Sri Lanka Cricket?

    TopHat Monday, 05 September 2011 04:00 PM

A hefty fine to Sri Lanka Cricket by the ICC!

    DHA Monday, 05 September 2011 04:04 PM

....talk about it....it was one of the worst pitches SL has ever prepared....!!!

    Fair N Square Monday, 05 September 2011 04:14 PM

    Oh NOT him again !!

    freehit Monday, 05 September 2011 04:51 PM

' Horrible ' would have been a more appropriate word !

    Guru Tuesday, 06 September 2011 09:52 AM

Everything is poor in SL because it's a country that begs for eveything.

    sena Monday, 05 September 2011 05:27 PM

how about some pitches else where on which even an iron ball bowled by by a spinner goes over the head

Cricket lover Tuesday, 06 September 2011 10:08 AM

Well said Sammy some people just dont know what they are saying

    Ella Monday, 05 September 2011 05:39 PM

Wonder what the ICC will say about concrete road in SSC.

    Rosh Monday, 05 September 2011 05:54 PM

even a blind could say so!!!

    Dhana Monday, 05 September 2011 09:59 PM

We cricket loving Sri Lankans are concerned about a good game of Cricket than an unethically gain victory.

    saman Monday, 05 September 2011 10:07 PM

I agree. It looked more like a 5th day wicket on day 1! Chris Broad got this absolutely right!

    Kapila Monday, 05 September 2011 11:16 PM

Better to prepare a pitch that gives a result in 4 days than one ends with no results in 5 days. It was a difficult wicket but the greats like Hussey, Mahela and young Mathews showed everyone how to play on it.
