Whilst appreciating the action against Bribery & corruption in general I must say that actions need to be taken against corrupted politicos as well. because this is a minor thing compared to mega corruptions done by politicos high caliber Police officials
I have heard about this person and he was to retire in Aug this year. and he was placed in Galle ahead of a another corrupted and this action is carried out purely on a targeted petition.

Is he interdicted or sent on compulsory leave? There is no suspension in public service

Why suspend? Does he require a holiday after this deed? Why not remanded like it happens to all ordinary folk under suspect?

Something behind politics. The case is 2007. Why now promoted & suspended. Sometime refuse to do some political work.
