Galle DIG suspended on bribery charges

Galle DIG Hector Dharmasiri has been suspended by the IGP following charges of bribery, Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said.
This action was taken following a case filed against DIG Dharmasiri by the Bribery Commission that the DIG had allegedly used policemen on duty, to assist in the building of his private residence in 2007.

Whilst appreciating the action against Bribery & corruption in general I must say that actions need to be taken against corrupted politicos as well. because this is a minor thing compared to mega corruptions done by politicos high caliber Police officials
I have heard about this person and he was to retire in Aug this year. and he was placed in Galle ahead of a another corrupted and this action is carried out purely on a targeted petition.
