Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder mate!! So you think that we south asians with brown skin are not attractive?? How incredibly racist of you!
Mohommad Tuesday, 24 February 2015 06:31 PM
In other words they are saying that females from SL who are coming as maids are not beautiful... hahaha
nizamhm Tuesday, 24 February 2015 06:28 PM
/// Some wives have already contacted us to say that if their husbands want maids from Chile or Morocco, they must first see the maids before accepting them. Their main condition was that these maids should not be pretty.”
Thaya Tuesday, 24 February 2015 06:23 PM
All women are beautiful including Srilanka
Ranjan Tuesday, 24 February 2015 06:02 PM
Where is BBS. Please get up and say something about this. Sri Lanka maids are not beautiful? ?
PeaceLover Tuesday, 24 February 2015 06:00 PM
These women are afraid as the religion in this specific community, has ruled that men can have some advantages from the slave women. It is written in their books. So these women are afraid.
sss Tuesday, 24 February 2015 05:19 PM
So our malnutrition especially among these the class of these unfortunate women has its advantages. And the fortunate few spend the dollars for petrol for their cars bought dutyfree
Guna Tuesday, 24 February 2015 05:17 PM
This is the price we are all paying for the past political mistake. When you think that there are almost 2 million Srilankan workers are overseas and 80% of them are unskilled working mainly as maid. When you thing of that is almost 25% of workforce and 40% of the household.Government is keep encouraging them only for the foreign exchange. In turn this foreign earn money mostly go to consumerism fueling the inflation and cost of living , little go into real investment. It is also creating mayhem in the society as the mother out the children grow with someone else, abused sometimes. We have to get these people back home if we really want to emerge out of this mess
Nimal Tuesday, 24 February 2015 05:10 PM
We should ban our women going to these countries where they are abused.
BuffaloaCitizen Tuesday, 24 February 2015 04:30 PM
When undue restraints are made, abuse is the result. Have you seen the clamor to purchase alcohol before poya day? If alcohol is allowed to be sold on Poya days and if the sermons of our Buddhist priests have been successful, why cannot a Buddhist avoid consuming alcohol even on a poya day?

What ISIS Really WantsThe Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse. Here’s what that means for its strategy—and for how to stop it. http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2015/02/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

Government should take very strict action against those people who send their wives or daughters as house maids. Our women also should think about it. Sri Lnaka is a best place to live and work. you have the freedom. never fly as housemaid to Gulf for money. you will be like a real slave. Shame on the recruitment agencies who export our women for money.I just ask the agency people that do you sell your wife or daughters for money?
Abraham Tuesday, 24 February 2015 03:05 PM
Very true – But at least our government should offer maids job locally instead of sending them overseas for work as this is very risky for their life if they were employed in Saudi since they could be trapped and beheaded.
Lkcricket Tuesday, 24 February 2015 02:55 PM
The jealousy of the Saudi women is the reflection that Saudi women are so hopeless and ugly from the retrospection of their husbands that is the reason that these cad Saudi men resorting to foreign woman!
mal Tuesday, 24 February 2015 02:55 PM
Mahinda made the decision on behalf Saudi Arabia to bring maids from Morocco and Chile :D LOL

What terrible news. Proof that we South Asians, brown skinned people, are not attractive people. Very sad. :-(
Yuri Tuesday, 24 February 2015 01:49 PM
Lucky Hambantota , Mihin Lanka should be busy curring Slaves to middle east.
PeaceLover Tuesday, 24 February 2015 01:48 PM
They are lucky to have oil in their countries and have maids and workers doing all their work...... But these countries law is cruel and we have seen many incidents that happened to our maids and workers. There is no way people can worship their religions outside their religion. No religious tolerance at all. With these kind of conditions govt should think more about sending women to these countries.
