CID wants to prosecute the old lady and put her in Welikada prison! for loving kindness of a grand mother to her grandson.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 01:07 PM

Grandson or no grandson, if you harbour a fugetive/criminal, the law says you have to pay the price. The law of the land should apply to everybody and not just subject to the whims and fancies of you stupid lot. If you commit a criminal offence, you must suffer the consequences...

Don't the Police/CID have grandmothers who show them affection even when they do wrong ?

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 12:57 PM

Typical Hindi movie scene. Arrest the mother to get at the son. What a way to go, keep it up. You can now can be compared to the other beasts with similar way of thinking & doing the same in the world. When retribution comes your way, please do not think of god at that time

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 12:10 PM

    what about Prabha`s mother?

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 11:47 AM

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 11:23 AM

our CID is the BEST in the world , that is only for SF's case. but when it comes to Sakivithi's case the CID is the worst in the world. may be some BIG shots wanted to close Sakvithi's case.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 11:06 AM

At this rate all Thilakarathna's will be arrested.....

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 11:03 AM

Didn't CID say they had Dhanuna's IP and it was a sure shot? Now they are going after IPs of contacted people. What a joke.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 10:57 AM

POOR OLD LADY!!! THE AGED SHOULD BE RESPECTED. WHATEVER SAID ABOUT THE SO CALLED DHANUNA, A GRANDMOTHER IS A GRANDMOTHER AND THE LOVE GRANDMOTHERS HAVE FOR THEIR GRANDCHILDREN IS UNIVERSAL. EVEN IF THEY BE THE WORST CRIMINAL THIS LOVE CANNOT BE ERADICATED AT ANY COST. THIS IS ONLY HUMAN.

SO WHY NOT LEAVE HER ALONE, SHE DID HER BOUNDEN DUTY AND ANY RIGHT THINKING PERSON SHOULD APPRECIATE THAT.

WHAT A SORRY STATE OUR BEAUTIFUL MOTHERLANKA, NEXT IT MIGHT BE A PIG, OR THE TOM CAT OR A PARIAH DOG THAT DHANUNA ADORED.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 10:03 AM

This is vengence and haressment. Why dont they just investigate and bring to books all the crooks, frauds, murders, drug dealers, thugs, ( now in Parliament) before the law. What kind of governance is this. It seems to getting worse day by day.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:55 AM

Donkeys ! The grandmother provided accommodation to her Grandson. He may be absconding suspect but for her it is her Grandson. It is useless to tell you goons who do not know what is parental affection. EVen a deserter, if the harbor is given by the wife or parents, there is no charge against them. The first time in the country to take revenge from a grandmother.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:48 AM

Unbelievable!! What has this country become. If my grandson/daughter comes to me for help would I say no?! She wouldn't even have known at the time that there were issues. Rubbish government!

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:37 AM

Shame on CID to file a case against an old lady (grand mother of Dhanuna). How can a grandmother or a grandfather call the police & say Quote! Help Police, my grandson is here, please arrest him! Unquote. Maybe, she would have told the grandson, "Putha oya gihin bara denne Policiyata." and may have left.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:36 AM

Come on, leave the old lady out of this.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:35 AM

All this fuss is to satisfy someone's ego.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:21 AM

Way to go CID, at least you got the grandmother after a 12 mid night raid. Crooks beware the CID is at its best now.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:02 AM

Maybe the Grand Father is not living any more.

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 09:00 AM

    "contacted the Dhanuna" ??

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 08:33 AM

come on people.. suspect or not its her grandchild and she has given meals and looked after his well being... dont your aththammas do the same for you irrespective of that you are a murderer or who ever?

    Wednesday, 21 April 2010 08:26 AM
