Four women arrested at a brothel

Police yesterday arrested three women including the manager of a brothel being operated in the guise of an Ayurvedic Medical Centre on Kanatta Road in Battaramulla.

The arrests were made during a raid by the Thalangama Police Investigation Unit.

Police said another woman who was in the premises at the time of the raid was also taken into custody.

They said the women were between the ages of 21 and 37 and residents of Madiwela, Nuwara Eliya and Vavuniya.

The suspects are to be produced in the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court today.
