Police said the trishaw transporting a woman from Horana to Panadura had collided with the car and the bicycle from the opposite direction. The drivers of the two vehicles, the passenger on board the trishaw, and the cyclist were injured and admitted to the Panadura hospital.

The residents of the area said the driver of the van whose haphazard opening of the door resulted in the accident, sped away without any concerned about the injured.
