The problem of our roads are the Drivers and the Traffic Police.,Drivers do not understand and do not follow the highway code and practice politeness. The traffic police do not even try to enforce the practice of the use of the high way code. There is no Law And order, free for all , it is anarchy, and this type of accidents will be very common in the future.

In the USA vehicles have to be checked annually by a registered motor garage and a certificate has to be obtained before the vehicle is put on the road again .A sticker pasted on the wind screen indicates that this has been done , for police checking purposes .

1) mechanical failures do not happen at once, usually these are ignored for later by the user 2) even my mom has a driving licence yet she can not reverse park, as 'Dee' said the new drivers are not upto standard endangering them selves and others. 3) issuing of d\l should be made more strict. 4) the right of way and curtesy is in need, people should stop being self centered

Of course its governments fault!!! simple rule have points systems in license:
one mistake take 3 points of the license 12 points is the maximum. so 4 mistake you loose the license(this includes overtaking, parking, speeding etc)
if you loose the license you can re-apply only after 2 years. Meantime the points will get cleared every 2 years on a rolling basis.
Give insurance policy to the driver and not for the vehicle, so clean license holder or good drivers gets a better deal, reckless drivers have to pay more on their insurance.
have the vehicle checked every year for road worthy and a certificate to be issued, if no certificate
Don’t issue road license to the vehicle.
This is the adapted model for most developed countries and you don’t need rocket science to implement this...

Most accident caused because you think the lane is yours and I think its mine. We dont have a proper system in issuing drivers license.
kan Friday, 24 August 2012 10:28 AM
Most of the accidents are caused by vehicle not being serviced on time or not being checked before driving to the roads.
