Foreign travel restriction on Gota

The Galle Magistrate today issued an order preventing former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, former Navy Commander Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake and two others from leaving the country.

The other two persons who were imposed the travel restriction were the Director of the Rakna Arakshaka Lanka (Pvt.) Limited, Major General (Retd) K. B. Egodawela and Manjula Yapa, the Managing Director of Avant Garde Security Services (Pvt.) Limited.

Police Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said the CID has requested the travel restriction to facilitate the investigation on the floating armoury of Avant-Garde at Galle Harbour.(Darshana Sanjeewa)

This is as a over up for allowing the Avant Garde high officials to travel overseas. The official passport of the Avant Garde official was releases at the request of a high ranking government official. What a joke or may I call it a circus. The UNP is rapidly losing public support.

That restriction is not necessary for him. He will be not welcome by any civilize country. He will not get a visa to go. Only rogue state like North Koria, Swazi-Land will welcome him. So he has no place to go. Virtually he is stranded in SL.

I think these guys especially Gota made a BIG mistake by serving his country. And is now getting just treatment, If they had the war going the Diaspora will not be made, India and all the western "international Community" will be happy. Tamils in the NE will be routing for their boys TNA would be glad to be the LTTE front in parliament... And sure as hell nobody would be bothered if the country is robbed blind because every body is worried if they can escape the bombs and police/army check points to get home safely.Otherwise why arent people questioning corruption from JRJ onwards
