Fire in Anuradhapura Court

A fire that broke out at the Anuradhapura Magistrate Court early morning today reportedly destroyed a large number of documents in the Court archives.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and 75% of the documents in the archives are believed to have been affected or destroyed due to the fire. Investigations are being conducted to determine the cause of the fire. (AB)

    According to my memories same thing was happened to the rathnapura court around 7-to 8 years ago i think.

    Fires will affect (and deny) the justice until there's a proper information system to back up all the details and records pertaining to legal cases!

    The sad fact is there won't be any credible investigation and therefore no punishment to the culprit(s). That is what, this kind of acts happen very often in our mother Lanka.

    It's a nice set-up. Not a natural fire. That's what I can trust. Anyone who has a brain, can understand what happened and how it happened.
