Fire at Peradeniya Uni

More than 10 acres of land near the Wijewardena Hall of the University of Peradeniya was damaged due to a fire that spread in the area earlier today, the Kandy Fire Brigade told Daily Mirror online.

Fire Brigade officials added that the fire had not caused any property damage or caused injuries to persons in the area. The fire is now under control, Fire Brigade officials said. (Gandhya Senanayake)
