A father has allegedly pushed his 27-year-old wife and 2-year-old daughter into the sea at Mahapalena beach in Kosgoda last night, police said.

They said the child went missing while the woman was rescued.

Only remedy is to eradicate all sort of drugs including ganja. Also to wipe out illicit liqueur dens. People will have to take lead in doing this in helping police. Imposing death penalty will not help anyway in reducing crimes.

For a small country like Sri Lanka, we seem to have some of the worse barbarous crimes that do not happen even in highly populated countries such as India, China or even South Africa and distinctively this culture within past 10 years.
