Aluvihare appeals

By L.B. SenaratneThe suspended Mayor of Kandy L.B.Aluvihare has filed a case at the Court of Appeal against the Gazette notification by the Chief Minister of the Central Province and the Minister of Local Government Sarath Ekanayake removing him from office.
Kandy L.B.Aluvihare was removed from his post following an inquiry by a retired High Court Judge where it was alleged that there were at least eleven charges against him.
With his removal, Aluvihare loses his position as that of a member of the Municipal Council and would not be eligible to contest any Municipal election over the next five years. (Daily Mirror online)

What about all those MPs in Parliament with criminal charges against them, aren't they going to be removed as well?

Why cant they remove the mp's and culprits suck blood out of the people and leave mr aluvihare in his position. He is chosen by the people and did a damm good job for the town. This is dirty politics and people are not going to tolarate.
