A Papua New Guinea national, who was in police custody for staying without valid visa and had escaped from the Mirihana detention centre, was arrested from Eththukala area in Negombo this evening, police said.
The suspect was handed over to the Mirihana detention centre again.
Strange enough! The PGN guys usually look very similar to any of the local men here! How could he be found out?!

Probably a human smuggler who has been enlisting candidates to flee to PNG and then to Australia.. May be he was involved in the "Boat People" trade... DO not just deport him, extract infromation from him... he may lead to Bigger SHARKS
