The funeral of late Kala Keerthi Eileen Siriwardhana will be held at the Borella cemetery at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The renowned writer and educationist, Ms. Siriwardhana passed away at the age of 87 at her residence on Wednesday.

She served as the Principal of the Sumudra Devi Vidyalaya, Nugegoda and Vishaka Vidyalaya, Colombo.

Her novel “Balan Harimi Kadaturuwa” received the first ever D. R. Wijewardena award in 1984.

Her remains lie in state at No: 57, Railway Avenue, Nugegoda.
