Need to check Section 99 sub-section 49 and paragraph 245 to know who a dissolved Government can pass regulations to extend Emergency regulations. This was taught in our Grade 6 Civics in 1960. SriLankans now need to learn the Donomore system of law.

Its this kind of stupidity that makes GoSL laughing stock in the world.

    Tuesday, 09 March 2010 08:17 AM

When the war is over almost a year ago why this emergency!

We too love our country need it to be safe, now the check points are getting on to the head. There is too much of this and this should cut down. Early morning when we go to drop our kids to school their you go, you are stopped at a check point with 1 or 2 vehicle already being checked.

Mr. President please cut down the check points, don't take it off.
