Normally these type of things should be done in an extreme emergencies for the interest of General Public (Citizens) of the Country. But, we can't understand is foe whose benefit the Emergency is required? Is it for General Public or for the benifit of those who are in Power?

Emergency has replaced the Constition. Why not the election manifisto of some party say we will abolish the constition and accept the ER has our constition.

Need to check Section 99 sub-section 49 and paragraph 245 to know who a dissolved Government can pass regulations to extend Emergency regulations. This was taught in our Grade 6 Civics in 1960. SriLankans now need to learn the Donomore system of law.

When the war is over almost a year ago why this emergency!
We too love our country need it to be safe, now the check points are getting on to the head. There is too much of this and this should cut down. Early morning when we go to drop our kids to school their you go, you are stopped at a check point with 1 or 2 vehicle already being checked.
Mr. President please cut down the check points, don't take it off.
