The State of Emergency was extended by a month in parliament a short while ago with 132 voting for and 14 voting against it. The TNA and 2 UNP members voted against it while UNP MP Abdul Cader voted in favour. The remaining UNP members as well as the DNA were not present during the vote as they had staged a walkout from Parliament earlier. (KB & GC)

Where is the UNP heading ? this shows that there is no common stand among them. Some abstaining from voting others voting against the motion while another voting in favor of the motion. This shows that the government will very soon get the magical 2/3rd in the near future and the UNP will get weakened further while the D.N.A will die a natural death..

Ur stand is Correct. I am from kandy. i know the damage the Rahuf hakeem did during the genaral election. we have a good relationship with Sinhalese. He tried to spoil that. ranil is responsible for this move. What your saying about this issue is 100% correct.

Even Namal Rajapaksa is against emergency, it is older than him, he said. So the young MP's do not know why the emergency exists!!
