Did you hear that 69 old driver taking school kids?
this is the only sickening country in the world where old condemned outdated vehicles are being used to transport
our kids. If you notice 90 percent of the country's cataloy paste
    you find in these vehicles - bearing numbers 47 -56 -54 -
try you luck to find one school van with english numbers - if you spot on buy a lottery -

School Bus/Van Drivers should take the full responsibility of our future generation by protecting and guarding them. Our younger parents pay exorbitant amounts to transport their children to and from schools. Please Driver Uncles, look after our small ones carefully, think them as your own children.

Parents should be vigilant to check on the school vans that they send their loved ones to school with, and have a control with the drivers concerned, also advice kidds to be on the lookout always, and this should be reminded to the little ones. this will culture them automaticaly for their safety where ever they are.

These school vans are menace to the society. If there are proper school Bus service, that is the best way of transport mode to school children. Now its high time to reintroduce this School buses.

Always the school van drivers drive recklessly. There is no authority to regularize these services. Government should take urgent action on reckless driving. School authorities too need to participate on regularizing these, including the OBA's. Most of the OBAs and PTAs. Most of these committees are formed to get admissions or to have parties. At least, can everyone wake up and together take some concrete action.

School van drivers and other vehicles taking students including the parents do not respect the traffic rules and thats why always there are traffic jams near the leading schools. Children go to school by foot in the rural areas so they are free from this menace. This tragic incident is also due to the negligence of traffic rules. Condolence to the family who lost their loved one.

Authorities are taking no action to control these services - especially the private busses. Because they travel in luxury with the security clearing the way for them

Don't blame only the drivers, even the school authorities are more responsible for these kind of incidents.

The driver is supposed to be 69 years old. His senses would have been dead for instinctive reaction. There has to be a age limit restriction for drivers of school vans. via DM Android App

sadly a lil kid has to lose his/her life... Of course it is destiny, BUT the School service drivers and ALL bus drivers are a menace to society. Monitor the school service vans, they load 22 or more kids on a 15 seater van.. IF the driver has to brake in a situation all these kids that are JAMMED can have fatal injuries. Further ..they are so greedy that they do 2 turns.. My daughter who starts school at 7.30 is in school by 6-10-6.15 coz the driver has to do a 2nd run.. She could have another 45 minutes of sleep. It's even worse that the kids have to do a Tour of Colombo b4 they get to school. Child Protection Authorities...enough being in a slumber... get into action... NOW..
