Eight police personnel interdicted

Eight police personnel attached to the Thanamalwila Police Station were interdicted on fraud charges, Police said.

Police spokesman Buddhika Siriwardene said an inquiry had revealed that they had held back some of the ganja they had recovered during a raid.

A Sub Inspector, a Sergeant, a Police Assistant and five constables were among those interdicted. (AS)
