Body of a eight day old infant found

A body of an infant reportedly eight days old was recovered from the Gurugoda Oya in Moronthota this morning. The body of the infant was seen floating along the bank of the Gurugoda Oya by residents in the area, after which the area police was notified.

The police are currently investigating the matter. (Rohan Kumara)
