Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa, who was remanded till today, has been brought to Kaduwela Magistrate's Court this morning.

Mr. Rajapaksa, ministry’s former Secretary Nihal Jayatilake and former Divineguma fund Director General R.R.K. Ranawaka were further remand till May 7 by the Magistrate.

They were arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) on April 22 and remanded till May 5 by the Kaduwela Magistrate on April 23.

Actually there seems to be nothing. After wining of 30 years was by MR mega development projects were launched and big money was in transaction. This has been misconstrued as corruption.
