Disabled boys abandoned

Two mentally-retarded children who had been abandoned had been recovered in the centre of Dambulla today, the Dambulla Police said.

The two male children, both about 16 years old, can’t talk, the Police said.

According to the instructions of Dambulla HQ Police Inspector Saranath Samarakoon, the Police Officers had had taken care of the children.

Police sources said that the boys were in a very dirty condition and had to be washed and cleaned.

The Dambulla Police said that the general public could give any information about the boys to the nearest Police station.
