Drowned couple: girl’s body recovered

Body of the 15-year-old school girl who was alleged to have jumped into the Deduru Oya Reservoir with a boy was found in the reservoir today, the Police said.

The body of the 17-year-old school boy was found yesterday by the police search unit. The couple was alleged to have jumped into the reservoir on Wednesday afternoon. (LSP)

The reason for their death is unknown. We can only guess it must be due to outside reason (not their own). I blame the part of our culture which denies true feelings of our young children and parents and / or adults who do not understand or forgot how they felt when they were young.
