Tamils don't want Eelam or Sate. They only want to live freely as a Citizen of Sri Lanka, to be recognized and treated as Sri Lankans not to be given labels . Every Human being (Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims etc) wishes to be treated fairly, equally, irrespective of being rich or poor.
Silva de Mervin Monday, 16 July 2012 02:26 PM
Yes, Mr Karuna, India does not want Eelam but whole island before it goes to Chainese hand.
So ask for Lanka instead!!!
Trehan Munasinghe Monday, 16 July 2012 11:24 AM

There is peace in Sri Lanka, but I guess some need to make remarks to crop up problems in this Small Country. If he (Karunanidhi) is interested in winning any position in politics, I think he should shut up about Eelam and try to devise a system to solve India's Economic Crisis. Rather sit and try to win elections by croping up devisions in neighboring countries. Oh Bravo Mr. Karunanidhi, I guess your digging your own grave.

In India Tamils and all the Indian citizens are treated well and they love their motherland. There is no need for them to ask for a separate country.
buffaloa citizen Monday, 16 July 2012 08:23 AM
Why not, if it is for the benefit of a community and the country as a whole.

India is a big country. Therefore they need a system of decentralized. But Sri Lanka is not big as the smallest province of India. May be 10 time smaller than the smallest province.
Desha Monday, 16 July 2012 03:52 AM

Mohamed Zahid Monday, 16 July 2012 06:11 AM
no dear our intention is not that. we want to live together. we will not support for any separatism.
Nodrog Monday, 16 July 2012 05:13 AM
Soon Muslims, Burghers, Moors etc will also want their own States within a central govt.
Thomas Monday, 16 July 2012 04:49 AM
Tamils of Sri Lanka do not want a separate country ( Eelam), but they want a State within the borders of Sri Lanka, with a Central Govt in Colombo, like what is prevailing in India etc
ind Monday, 16 July 2012 04:25 AM
Don't worry. He is just dreaming !
Nodrog Monday, 16 July 2012 04:20 AM
Have the Eelam state in Chennai and TN and all the tamils who want it can go there.
Amarathunga Chandika Monday, 16 July 2012 04:02 AM
Its seems like Karunanithy is forming LTTE- Part 2 in Tamil Nadu. Central Govt. of India, you must deal with this guy severely.
Godagampala Rohana Monday, 16 July 2012 04:00 AM
Give Karunanithy a last warning to quit politics, enough he ruined his own countryman too.
Kiris Baba Amaray Monday, 16 July 2012 03:57 AM
Hon Minister Chithamparm you are a straight forward gentleman, you are 100% correct, Karunanithy is dreaming again for Tamil Elam because then only he could servive in Politics. He is too old and his thinking power is becoming weaker.
Amarathunga Chandika Monday, 16 July 2012 03:53 AM
Thank you Home Minister for your statement, tell Karunanithy to not to pork his fingers on SriLankan internal issues.
