EPDP leader Douglas Devananda has topped the preferential votes in the Jaffna District with 28,585 votes followed by Mavai Senathirajah of the TNA with 20501 votes and Suresh Premachandran 16425 votes.
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) meanwhile won in Jaffna with 65,219 votes, the UPFA second with 47622 votes and the UNP with 12, 624 votes.
