DIG Vass arrested

DIG Vass Gunawardane has been arrested by the CID over the abduction and murder of a businessman in Bambalapitiya, Police Spokesman SP Buddhika Siriwardane said.

SP Siriwardane said the CID initially interrogated the police officer since last evening over the incident. Last week too DIG Gunawaradane was questioned by the CID over the same issue and three police officers were taken into custody in connection with the murder.
