Around a 100 demonstrators protested against the visiting Channel 4 journalists at the lobby of the Bandaranaike International Airport, when they arrived in the country a short while ago.

A group by the name of “Movement to Promote National Harmony” organised the protest.

The Channel 4 journalists had not left the airport until protestors dispersed, after which they had spoken to the media personnel present to cover their arrival.

    kumar Monday, 11 November 2013 01:59 PM

If they really wanted to promote "National Harmony", they should allow for an International Investigation without protesting and mud sliding the dignitaries.

    Concerned Monday, 11 November 2013 12:57 PM

Any of the protesters seen the video?

    Saskia Monday, 11 November 2013 12:50 PM

At least 1000 could participate, right?

    zorro Monday, 11 November 2013 12:07 PM

the protests are selectively orchestrated! this time it falls under the right to raise free opinion!

    Exhorcist Monday, 11 November 2013 11:49 AM

Protest? What protest when GOSL has banned to hold protest during the CHOGEM summit in Sri Lanka. So baduth hamuge naduth hamuge. Poor diplomatic.

Peace Lover Monday, 11 November 2013 11:36 AM

    Nodrog Monday, 11 November 2013 10:09 AM

We should not stoop to the low levels of C4 and their main sponsors the pro-LTTE elements and tamil diaspora. Whoever organized this has unwittingly only played into their hands

    Gobi Monday, 11 November 2013 11:15 AM

you are absolutely right....i would say 100 morons

    Saman Monday, 11 November 2013 10:47 AM

    Prometheus Monday, 11 November 2013 10:34 AM

100 demonstrators? Thats it? Thats a sign that our patriots are losing big time even in the Sinhala dominated areas.

Shaik Anwar Ahamath Monday, 11 November 2013 10:22 AM

To what effect are these protests, when these journalists are already here, except expose ourselves as a bunch of morons.

    BuffaloaCitizen Monday, 11 November 2013 10:17 AM

How come these same protestors do not demand for an investigation into war crimes which has destroyed national harmony or are they just those famous hench-aiyas of the state.

    shantha Monday, 11 November 2013 10:17 AM

The footage shown in these films have come from our soldiers cameras.

    Saskia Monday, 11 November 2013 10:15 AM

To promote National Harmony, you have to give justice for those who lost their love ones during the war and thereafter. SL has almost 15 million Sinhalese, then why only 100 people were demonstrating against channel 4? Isn't it too little?

    Darwin Monday, 11 November 2013 10:14 AM

Soon this video will be also released by C4

Nadi Karunaratne Monday, 11 November 2013 10:14 AM
