The Parliamentary debate on the 19th Amendment, which was scheduled for debate tomorrow, had been postponed for Tuesday, consequent to an All Party Meeting chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena this morning.

The President convened a meeting with all the parties today to discuss the way forward under the present situation. At the beginning, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe gave an outline on the process adopted for the evolution of the 19th Amendment.
