The Colombo District Court today suggested a settlement to North Western Provincial Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara with regard to a case filed demanding Rs. 500 million from several UNP members.

Jayasekara demanded United National Party (UNP) members Harin Fernando, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Daya Gamage and Ranjan Ramanayake for Rs. 500 million each for alleging he accepted Rs. 250 million from the previous government to cross over.

Counsel appearing for both parties agreed to settle and informed the Court that a decision would be made on May 11 with instructions from their clients.(Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
