Dansalas should be registered

The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has informed that all Dansalas within the Colombo Municipal limits should obtain prior permission from the Divisional Medical Officer, CMC’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pradeep Kariyawasam said.

He said the registration should be completed before May 21 and that Dansalas which are not registered would be inspected by the Police Environment Division and permission granted thereafter by the Public Health Inspector (PHI).

Dr. Kariyawasam said on day one the ingredients and the water used will be inspected to see whether the food was being prepared hygienically. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

What is the big issue? We Buddhists do not want forcibly give away anything but rather happy to prevent from giving anything to any one. Arms giving is all about commemorating the Lord Buddha and true compassion about poor. Moreover it was always done in hygienically not forced by any cheap law in the country.
