This is called "Horage Ammagen Pena Ahanawa". with recent action taken by SL Police have lost faith and credibility of police and IGP.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 08:23 AM

Please take a copy since on the way to the court it will go missing as in tamil and hindi movies.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 08:32 AM

keep several copies, as the police may tamper with the tapes, how could the IGP explain the Police inaction to Courts

    Friday, 26 March 2010 08:50 AM

will see what happens... I hope god is looking all these...

    Friday, 26 March 2010 08:50 AM

EVEN IF SIRASA GIVES ALL THE TAPES THEY HAVE THIS CASE WILL GO OFF LIKE-LASNTHA"S CASE/CEYLINCO CASE ETC

    Friday, 26 March 2010 09:32 AM

    Well done

    Friday, 26 March 2010 09:34 AM

Sirasa, be very careful, you may be charged by the court for videoing illegally. Also for stoning the attackers(heros) from inside.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 09:36 AM

Good decision but waste of time

    Friday, 26 March 2010 09:56 AM

Pointless, everything will be happen favor of government. God will punish them. We have no trust with the Srilanka legal authorities ...

    Friday, 26 March 2010 10:19 AM

Fed up with all the outcomes ........thought we will enjoy the freedom after eradicating Terrorism ....but it leads otherway

    Friday, 26 March 2010 10:27 AM

Hope the court will study the tape and give an impartial verdict so that the Police lethargy will be exposed and stopped once and for all.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 10:32 AM

Now they'll say this is also an international conspiracy!

    Friday, 26 March 2010 10:42 AM

TO THE SAME POLICE WHO WERE WATCHING THE SCENE? CAN THEY BE TRUSTED? MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COPY GIVEN DIRECT TO THE COURTS.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 08:04 AM

State media too has reported a different version contradicting to the actual situaton that has occured. Please inquire state run media reports as to how and why they mislead general public

    Friday, 26 March 2010 10:56 AM

for what making a teledrama? this is a govenment who doen't care about court orders. IGP in MR's pocket MR in IGP's pocket. " sepa kane kana sakkuwe"

    Friday, 26 March 2010 11:00 AM

Slave Island Police to identify the culprits and safly send them abroad. So the are not punished and the people behind the attack will not come to light

    Friday, 26 March 2010 11:37 AM

everyone involved with this act must be jailed!!!!
wer is the media freedom ??
    suba anagathayak to dat.....

    Friday, 26 March 2010 12:30 PM

They are all playing hora police with us

    Friday, 26 March 2010 04:44 PM

'Sirasa' should retain the original and handover a copy to the police, via court, as the politicized police might interpret the case on the lines of the Rupavahini incident.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 10:23 PM

This is another boru show eventuly nothing will happen, much ado about nothing. What can the police do?

    Saturday, 27 March 2010 01:38 AM

What tapes ??. We thought this country is allergic to tapes that tell the truth. BTW. If it is an inside job as claimed by some, will there be any tapes in the first place ??.

    Saturday, 27 March 2010 04:54 AM

Police are the worst scoundrels. Don't trust them even for a twopence

    Saturday, 27 March 2010 06:13 AM

Let justice be done. This is the correct thing to do the culprits will be now apprehended. We will know who they were.

    Saturday, 27 March 2010 07:13 AM

Credibility does not exist brother, it is only reliability and thats not for the common man...

    Saturday, 27 March 2010 09:11 AM

original incident should be published in state newspapers too.

    Sunday, 28 March 2010 03:43 AM

Sira can transmit on TV before that.. what do you think.?

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:12 AM

What is the use of handing over to the same police department as they will somehow manoeuvre the inquiry and suppress the truth.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:00 AM

Hogwash. The Police already arrested the culprits and allowed them to go scot free on poilce bail. The only thing Police will do with the tapes would be to doctor them to show Sirasa employees themselves carried out the attack.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:01 AM

Good move atleast we know our hon . judges are working

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:21 AM

    Take a copy and handover.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:22 AM

Sirasa should give close up shots of the Police Jeep that was parked nearby so that the lethargic and politicised Police will be identified and punished. The credibility of the IGP and the entire Police Department depends on the action that will be taken.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:28 AM

Why to the police , isn't that like giving the poacher the dead elephant !

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:37 AM

no use becouse that people came in SLTB bus what alse need for court?

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:43 AM

pls take a copy of it and give it away...

or else, two days after handing them over, the tapes would go missing from the custody of the magistrate!!!

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:53 AM

Eralier attacks were not investigatd or stop investigating by th same police department. So can anybody believe the same police department will investigate this incident? Ha ha what a funny situation.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:57 AM

If police department and IGP are realy genuine they should not have the suspects released. Here 1st thing police did was release the suspects and get a well done job certificate from the government.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 06:59 AM

    THANKS JUDICIAL

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:02 AM

    Make those videos public please

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:06 AM

truth should come into light and publish in all newspapers including state news papers.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 05:58 AM

Worthless handing over the tapes if no actions are taken immediately. There is a saying in sinhala "Horage ammagen peena beluwa wage"

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:18 AM

Not sure of the credibility of cops nowadays..

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:20 AM

Will there be another court hearing to find out the missing tapes after handing over ?

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:22 AM

Then the police can investigate till the cows come home

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:28 AM

As citizens of this country we are patiently waiting to see what the outcome is going to be!

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:34 AM

What credibility - the IGP & Police in general & Elections Commissioner are with ZERO credibility. Nothing further to lose except their uniforms.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:45 AM

Happy news for the culprits !!

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:49 AM

What do they mean 'arrest the suspects involved' ?
Weren't the suspects arrested and already released?

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:54 AM

Quality of Police is deterirating very badly.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:59 AM

Hope the Police will NOT modify the tape to suit their requirements and submit to the courts. Give a copy to His Lordship also.

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:59 AM

    Where is Janaka Perera video?

    Friday, 26 March 2010 07:59 AM

Never part with the original video. They cannot be trusted anymore because there is an unseen hand behind all this conspiracy.
