Cops cuffed

Two officers attached to the Borella Police had been arrested over a robbery amounting Rs.22, 000.

It is alleged that the suspects had stopped a vehicle at Dematagoda and had accused the driver of not stopping on police orders.

When the driver refused the accusations the suspects had assaulted him and taken away the driver’s ATM card-including the PIN- and money worth Rs.2,000.
The suspects had then withdrawn Rs.20,000 from an ATM machine, it is alleged.

Both had been remanded till June 14. The CID is investigating

    we started with politicians, later a judge was arrested for bribery, then a court officer from Nugegoda District courts for again bribery. later a DIG was suspected of Murder and many more crimes and now two cops for robbery. I am waiting for the next.
