The 4th Development and Construction regiment was formed in the early 1970s during the JVP uprising, to carry out maintenance, repairs and new Costruction Works. So this is not a new proposal of the present Government.

This is an excellent Idea . This should have been done immediately after the war ended. There are thousands of young persons in the army who will acquire new skills and an alternate deployment which will directly help the Country and its Budget. They should extend their services to the private sector and other Boards like the Water Supply and Drainage Boadr, CEB , and Irrigation Department as well and bill for their services.

Very good idea. Three forces should amalgamate and uses their massive human resources to develop all sectors in this country . They have Huge potential and ability to show the world that SL forces are real professionals. Only dought I have at this juncture is need a charasmatic leadership to carry out such projects rather than going in to wrong hands. JAYAWEEWA .

Good thinking. You guys have already proved that you can set wold standard benchmark not only at the battle front, but also in the other areas. We already see some Fantastic work done by forces.
Keep it up. and show the private sector that you can do better than us.
