CID wants Seya’s father to undergo DNA test

The CID today requested permission from the Minuwangoda Magistrate to subject Seya Sadewmi’s father to a DNA test.

Seya’s father had consented to his being subjected to a DNA test when the case was taken up today on a motion filed by the CID. (Tony Karunanayake)

    It is now become very clear that people are subjected to torture by police and get statements forcibly as police wants them and make them public that the statements are confessions. .

    Do not given consent. the police must establish reasonable cause based on provable facts to seek a warrant to force someone give their DNA for testing.

    his and the grandfathers DNA should have been checked before checking the others. I am sure kondaya his brother and seyas farther all are in the same clan who are involved in committing this sort of crimes in the past
