The CID has recorded statements from JVP North Central Provincial Councillor Wasantha Samarasinghe over the complaints he had made against UPFA MP Sajin Vaas Gunawardane and former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage.

Samarasinghe had lodged complaints with the CID against the two UPFA MPs alleging large scale corruption, Police spokesman Ajith Rohana said today.

Mr. Samarasinghe told the Daily Mirror that CID officials called him up on three days to gather more evidence regarding the complaints lodged by him against the two MPs and said he hoped that the real culprits would be revealed and punished soon. (Piyumi Fonseka)

This government has some issue in arresting high level crooks. They only go after small timers. Either the officials in charge is playing to the tune of MR and his gang or MS and Co. is not capable. How ever MS has the power to change any officials and they should appoint correct persons in the Inland revenue, police and other commissions to convict these crooks with out just giving excuses.

BREAKING NEWS ....... " CID NEEDS MORE SUPPLIERS TO SUPPLY MORE RECORD BOOKS AS THE EXISTING BOOKS ARE COMPLETELY FILLED WITH POLITICAL COMPLAINTS"

    OMG Saturday, 28 February 2015 10:13 AM

We did not vote for Maithri to get CID record statements and let them loose with a 15,000 rupee fine. WE VOTED FOR MAITHRI SO THAT HE WOULD CATCH THE THIEVES WHO HAVE ROBBED SRI LANKA BY THE TRILLIONS AND PUNISH THEM!! Why is Inland Revenue Dept asleep. When I bought a kabal 13-Sri Maruthi they call me up and ask from where did I get the money. But they seem to be not at all bothered about those who have stolen trillions and have been FLAUNTING their wealth.
