Chicken and eggs to be imported

Chicken and eggs are to be imported during the festive season to ensure that there is no shortage or price hike for these items. 2500 tonnes of chicken and 50 million eggs will be imported, Minister of Consumer Affairs Johnston Fernando said in Parliament a short while ago. (Ariyarathne Ranabahu)
