Vehicles are being checked by the Traffic Police for horns which exceeded the decibel limit between 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. today at seven entry points to Colombo, Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.

SSP Spokesman said vehicles were checked at seven entry points to Colombo including near the Wellawatte Bridge, Havelock Road, Narahenpita, Rajagiriya Ayurveda Junction, near Peliyagoda Junction, Orugodawatta Junction and Thotalanga Junction.

Senior Environmental Official of CEA Wickramasinghe said the today’s programme was only to educate the general public. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

    Police have to be careful. Lot of vehicles are connected to politicians (bought by public money) and if police apply law they will be physically attacked
