Minister of Power and Energy had reportedly said that a power disruption under normal circumstances in the court today was highly unlikely.

Don't worry Minister. Whether they have power there or not they will achieve their ultimate objectives with regard to the General. Power failure must have not been any worry to them.

Your lead photo has a lot of significance. A young lion is tearing up the Constitution

    Tonto Saturday, 16 October 2010 03:40 AM

Why are you trying to make this a big issue, Mr. Minister of pwer and energy. Use your bird brain and install a generator. Problem solved..............

    ලකුණු දමා ගැනීමට පමණයි.
    No action forthcoming!

Smart Aleck Friday, 15 October 2010 11:50 PM

There were no power cuts or power failures during the Trials at Bar. Somebody seems have "Hit the Panic Button".

This is the problem with people like Nayan who follow the JVP tactics. Any sabotage is praised as an act of patriotism. Those who are responsible should be severly punished.

    rana Friday, 15 October 2010 05:32 PM

Was there a very grave crime planned under the darkness and was it mis-fired?

    nayan Friday, 15 October 2010 12:47 PM

    there are patriots.

    Watchman Friday, 15 October 2010 03:29 PM

Everytime General Fonseka was harrased this type of bad signs happened. eg. 1st anniversary of defeating LTTE. Government should think wisely atleast from now.

patriot lanka Friday, 15 October 2010 02:35 PM

Come to think about it.... I wonder whether there was something else also here.. making the minister to walk into a trap before 13th amendment

    saman Friday, 15 October 2010 02:17 PM

Get ready for the next trail at bar - Against Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka

These are terrible times for patriots!

    viji Friday, 15 October 2010 02:09 PM

Glad that you came forward, typical of you, bold and forthright but do you think those behind the power failure would let you issue a statement saying it was a sabotage......if you do then there will be a trial at bar against minister of power and energy also. This is the sad story of Sri Lanka today.

    Ananad Friday, 15 October 2010 02:08 PM

    That is the power!!!!!!!

    wasala Friday, 15 October 2010 02:06 PM

Champika somebody powerful in the govt is trying to kill two birds from one stone - to get the trial at bar suspended and also embarrass minister of power and energy, perhaps out of pure jealousy.... watch it

    pramodha Friday, 15 October 2010 01:59 PM

Man of the Hour Patali Champika Ranawaka

please rise to the occasion although that means you have to walk out of this government

    We count on you

Calistus Jayatilleke Friday, 15 October 2010 01:52 PM

Of course, the power disruption is not "under normal circumstances": it has all the hallmarks of an unusual occurence triggered by an unseen hand to halt the proceedings going in the opposite ways rather than the "planned one".

    victoria Friday, 15 October 2010 01:43 PM

Very soon there will be OTHER POWER CUTS when people realizes that everything that was undertaken isgoing to be a failure

    NCK Friday, 15 October 2010 01:42 PM

That was involved by the SL GOV HIGH HANDS. Because they know very well that this case will win by General SF. Now they want to interrupt the court procedure.

wije dias Friday, 15 October 2010 01:28 PM

Be extreamly careful Mr minister "there are snakes under the grass "
