The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) is to investigate the clash which took place in Kiribathgoda recently. The Colombo Additional Magistrate, today, ordered that the CCD file a report over the incident in April.
The incident took place on January 03 when some supporters of United National Alliance who assembled near the Buddha Statue at Gala Junction, Kelaniya walked towards Kribathgoda distributing hand bills of opposition candidate General Sarath Fonseka.
A clash ensued with another rival party, who came there from the opposite direction. Several vehicles were damaged in the incident.

Big joke! What is there to "probe" when everybody knows it was a group led by "doctor" Dutugemunu, who attacked the Alliance supporters. Wonder for how long this big thug will be tolerated, in this country?

CCD to file a report in April - why so long?

Well, the information here is incorrect! Firstly there is no Buddha Statue at Gala junction - I live there! Secondly, the Buddha statue is, in fact, at Kiribathgoda junction, opposite the YMBA!

A waste of time, indeed!
