" Cant say where the oil is leaking" Ask our Mahadenamuttha for his opinion. It is from the oil tanks of the ship you fools. You waited 3 years to find out? after the sinking. now wait till the whole oily mess polutes all our valuable beaches and sea life.. Another bloody commission or Commitee of suckers can fix the leak.. Like the coal powered chinese Power station.

For three years, they all slept like "Kumba Kharna" and now say they have to wait till the sea is calmer in January. We have yet to hear a gem from Minister Weerawansa saying that this is also an "Interntional conspiracy">

Lanka Shantha Saturday, 01 September 2012 02:45 AM
First it will come from lubricant oil tanks followed by the heavy oil storage tank's ventilation pipes depending on how much sea water getting in the tanks.
Minister Saturday, 01 September 2012 05:50 AM
But we know where oil is adulterated!
Anura Gunawardane Saturday, 01 September 2012 05:43 AM
they are bluffing they dont have any equipment to remove the oil from the sea. I know some equipment is there with Ceylon Petroleum corporation that is also a one unit.

They should have removed oil when the ship was afloat. It could have been easier then.
Nodrog Saturday, 01 September 2012 03:02 AM
This is not an issue that crept up overnight. The MEPA had years to plan on how to remove the remaining fuel from the ship and how to avoid the eventual oil spill if the vessel sank. Typically only after the vessel has sunk that they and the other authorities have been galvanized into action, albeit too late.
