All the very best to the new cabinet !!!! We sincerely hope, under the dynamic President and the leader of our country his Excellency Mahinda Rajapakse and his new cabinet will do a great job in the future as people have entrusted all the powers and given a clear mandate to do a better job and for a better future of our country. Once again, all the very best to the new cabinet and we wish them a very success and a better future and let’s put all races aside and join hands together to create a better Sri Lanka for tomorrow. We can do this and should be doing this, as every citizen should earnestly support and do their part and we always should take a pride to be a Sri Lankan. Also we should have the attitude and guts by asking "What we should do to our Country" rather than asking " What our country should do of us".

Looks like Basil is given a ministry which will have the most influential Corps & Depts. BTW where are intellectuals such as Amunugama and Tissa Witharana who could do some good work?
Friday, 23 April 2010 10:24 AM
well, the media ministry is a disaster ... :P
Friday, 23 April 2010 10:29 AM
What happen to S.B??
keheliya??
Sarath Amunugama
Mahindananda??
It is really good to reduce the cabinet to 37-39. but i think MR could have done better by selecting right people. most of them are not correct people for the cabinet.
as a Example
Dalas and Bandula Gunawardeena should get their old ministries, because they did a good job.
And I personally believe Patali will do a grate job with his minister post, but he is more suite for education minister post because he is well educated guy!
But this is what MR thinks is best. we'll see!!!
Friday, 23 April 2010 10:30 AM
Where is Lakhsman Yapa? Why Power for Champika? Yes he has an Engineering degree and all Engineers are his friends but is that what you want?I thought the country needs somebody to develop power sector so that we all have power! His record isn’t good. He had environment ministry but what did he do? A cycle lane in Maharagama? Is that enough?Let's hope he does it.
Friday, 23 April 2010 10:39 AM
Where is SB?
Friday, 23 April 2010 11:00 AM

Friday, 23 April 2010 11:19 AM
Im glad that the number of ministers are kept less than 40 in keeping with the presidents promise. But i just wished that the foreign minister was Mahinda Samarasinghe instead of GL because of his efforts specially how he managed to muster favour of the UNHCR member states
