I have heard that when we got the Test Status, Duleep Mendis was the Captain and Roy Dias was the Vice Captain.
So there was a signature campaign in Saudi Arabia among Sri Lankans to remove both of them as they being Christians should not be leading the cricket team of a Budhist country.
