"asylum seekers" ," Refugees", what ever you call them, these are people who paid over Rs, 700,000 to sail to Christmas Island. These are not people who are trying to avoid third world life but trying to gain 1st world comforts. Every one of them had paid big amounts of money not by selling their properties or borrowing money. These are people with money who takes these boat trips to see if they can make a better life in Australia or in any other country. After they receive their landing status from Australia, they do their best to get the Australian passport. After they receive the Australian passport, they fly to Italy. They know in Western Countries and Europe its hard to find jobs. These operators are making big money by smuggling humans.

This is a tragic incident and we all are deeply sympathies however there is no refugees now in Srilanka. This people are not displaced or real refugees.The media should not use the word "refugees"
