Blake’s visit postponed

United States Assistant Secretary of State Robert O. Blake has postponed his visit to the country, due to a request by the Government of Sri Lanka.

“Upon a request from the Government, Assistant Secretary Blake will reschedule his visit to Sri Lanka to a time when the Minister of External Affairs is in the country,” a US Embassy Official told the Daily Mirror.

Minister of External Affairs Prof. G. L. Peiris is on a visit to the United Kingdom and will continue to other European destinations, including Prague. (Dianne Silva)
