Inviting women from India to perform here! What about our own stars? Are they not good enough, or has the crown prince already got sick of all of them?

    Branu Saturday, 02 June 2012 01:06 PM

How About our STARS like Sumana Gomas and Anargali???

    Sammy Saturday, 02 June 2012 01:25 PM

    who is she...?

Calistus Jayatilleke Saturday, 02 June 2012 02:18 PM

Cant understand this obsession of the first sons on fading Indian stars who have no market in India and being paid millions of rupees by us just for an appearance here, as if we dont have our own film stars here Is this also a part of the "international conspiracy" that our Minister Weerawansa is talking about, and if that is so, then why is he silent.

    Lakshan Saturday, 02 June 2012 02:25 PM

Isn't this Carlton thing owned by one of the president close relatives or something? Spending tax payers money to give a pvt company profit.. this is insane!!!!

    Nodrog Saturday, 02 June 2012 02:59 PM

Yes I saw stars when passing Police Park......thought we are supposed to be conserving energy? Guess the organizers did not get the message judging by the electricity being used. In a country blessed with so much sunlight why do we have to have matches played at night?

    Azmi Saturday, 02 June 2012 03:22 PM

ofcouse it's a very good news, why don't think the both Bipasha & Sameera our tourist promoters? think positive

Jagath Leanage Saturday, 02 June 2012 04:35 PM

    They must be Rugby fans.

    citizen1 Saturday, 02 June 2012 05:08 PM

Also we should be seeing stars when we see the bill for hosting these ladies are in. More stars for the taxpayer.

    citizen1 Saturday, 02 June 2012 05:11 PM

    citizen1 Saturday, 02 June 2012 05:14 PM

They get the fading ones as the shining ones are out of their league!! As for WW, there is no point trying to find any method to his madness as there is none.

    HKS Saturday, 02 June 2012 10:23 AM

After all Film actors will go to any limit to get popularity and consequent wealth.
Specially the female type, like deva-dasis in ancient times.
But they end up rejected by society when they have lost youth and beauty.

    Hussain Sunday, 03 June 2012 11:13 PM

How much is it costing the tax payer to 'import' these foreign actors (stars) to the island? Why not spend that money on development, eradication of poverty, housing for the homeless, on schools etc. than on this frivolous pursuits of imaginary transient pleasure? We are a developing nation and should divert our funds to the best advantage of our citizens and not pleasure to a select few.

Sri Lankan Boy Saturday, 02 June 2012 09:56 AM

These Bollywood stars are not real stars. These are more like the entertainers, real actors of Indian cinema hailed from 60,70,80 and 90'.
