for the simple comment SF made to the BBC, he should remain in custody until his death.... as that comment is the real traitors' comment and nothing else.. I;m sure when he said war crimes, he was not quotingof any of the Arms deals which MR or Danula did :).... and if the so called crimes gets proven.. all you Sri Lankan passpport holders will feal the shame like Syria, Libya, Iran, Pakistan, Palestine, Afghanistan etc...when it comes to any immigration...GUYS REMEMBER! Sri Lanka's Highest contributor to GDP is Foreign employment earnings... not TEA/RUBBER/COCONUT or Garment Factories anymore.. our poor slaves working abroad in hell send s good money and that takes the country forward... and those guys may get immediately deported, if the SF statement to BBC gets proven :( I pitty u SF supporters do not realize these....

Ma Per, Please understand you ere guilty until proven innocent. Senaka de Silva has already been convicted. No point barking. Where are our JVP comarades?
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:44 AM
Mr Chinthaka .. ?
This what opp ask for writing freedom
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:46 AM
These days AG and the Department is in the news.
May be N Siripala must have injected a SOOKRA boost.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:49 AM
If the forign Ministry dont know its mean this is a conpiracy! The main problem is WHY USA dont investigate on Danuna he is not violated US law or Otherwise USA is investigating and finally they find everything and if he has done sth wrong He will be arrested. But in Sri Lanka in So called Partiot Land of UPFA first make conpiracy theory on opponent and arrest then make evidence by force Try to frame up. finally they have to release but the primary objective is the mud slinging for power. In the patriot land no unbias things are taking place only unbias and trustworthy thing is the AL exam. Any tree will go without fertlizer or great care on it but it is not optimum and effective thus Patriot Land is also like this tree the thing is this natural growth also will be accounted for patriot politicians while they are eating the tree. As like as a tree, the leaves dont feel it like our people they want just to vote for their patriot parties.

Chinthaka dont you think the same applies to you and your mother.. he he..
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:57 AM
Thanks God it is Belgium, made the charges. If it was SL GOV we would see completely different comments here.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:57 AM
Who says he was convicted. Only the CID, no Belgian sources ! - Viktor
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:57 AM
Belgium is not persuading even the embacy is not bothered but the CID of SL.where they are solving Belgium's problem.CID should spend more time on our Countries Crime.
Drugs/Murderers are ruining the country.
Efficient and effectiveness is too different word.

Just like me, many of the commentors above have been taken on a "nice ride" by the General & his clan during the Presidential elections. I do not say that MR & the clan are clean, but the picture portrayed to us by the General & the clan was "crystal clean". For such a clan, having a convict as the campaign manager is a shame. Anyway, we will not be fooled any further & now we know the "true color" of the Swan & of course that of the "trophy". The lessons will be taught at the General Elections for taking us on a ride.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:59 AM
I think your family has that experience
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:03 AM
Roshan, I you a fool. Once your government come to power do that. And also when the court case stated the responsible witnesses didn't appear in the court. Ask them to come and give the evidence.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:04 AM
SF is still in custody. So government can display any type of news or whatever. Release him first to comment in this regard and whatever. Then every one can understand real truth............ and culprit.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:05 AM
Ah but the complaints and accusations against the Bro & Co & other govt robbers have not been inquired into by CID or Bribery Comm. So how can you say only SF is guilty? Actually on a balance of probabilities the other side is far more guilty and covering their back with abuse of power with CID and BC and no 17th Amendment.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:13 AM
If Foreign Ministry is unaware & Belgian Embassy unaware, obvious this is a CID+AG Dept conspiracy to discredit SF - both govt stooges.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:40 AM
Chintha, upto now how many issues came-up against SF & how many was proved??
*started with "TRAITOR" for "WHIITE FLAG" which the government had forgotton totaly
* accused of "HORA GIVISUMA" with TNA but Wimalay & all the speakers of the government don't talk a word about it
*Then the Bollywood film for "coup" to topple the government...still no prof & even the army men taken to custody in this regard released without any charges
*Then accuse of plotting to kill Mahinda & his family......no prof & also nothing spoken about it now
My friend there are many more & like the recent one many more will follow too. This is the gift for standing against king & this is the commomn message to every one given as a warning for standing against his pawul balaya. But SF will not bend to this dictator & neither will we who stand with SF!!!!!!!!!

You fool , how long you are living in Sri Lanka? They know the outcome when they appear as witness.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:26 AM
All previous SF supportes except a few are now backing the Greens....What a pity!
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:44 AM
Fortunately the majority were wise (whilst some were otherwise) and did not vote for a 'Vishvasaniya Venasak' or today we would be witnessing helplessly an 'Unbelievable Change'.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:46 AM
SF is a Dog....!!! that is all I can say.....
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:52 AM
good one!!
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:54 AM
Radha, Calivin thanks for clarifying what Chinthaka missing in life
That’s the clear difference between SF’s blind supporters and us; we should forgive people like Chinthaka. There was a clear difference in SF’s vocabulary compares with Ranil & MR. MR & Ranil showed that they are real gentlemen, true leaders even during election clashes. Having said that ,I don’t expect anything great to this forum by SF’s supporters (blind).
Chinthaka my friend, let’s keep the good spirit of the Daily Mirror forum, let’s be more professional. I forgive you
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 05:58 AM

Wednesday, 03 March 2010 06:00 AM

Wednesday, 03 March 2010 06:05 AM
Chinthaka, you are a disgrace to your mother to make such vicious comment. This shows your mothers background and character
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 06:06 AM
How do you know that it is same Senaka de Silva ?
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 06:27 AM
I think Chinthaka should ask his before asking someone else.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 08:34 AM
One is judged by the company one keeps.
Thursday, 04 March 2010 10:32 AM
No more joint Opposition candidate in the future!
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 03:58 AM
All in the name of "Believable Change"
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 06:30 PM
'Et tu' Belgium?
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 06:47 PM
So, SF supporters, where are you guys? Love to see your 'heroic' comments, in this forum.
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 07:43 PM
The government is desperate ... we are not fools.
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 08:12 PM
... Certainly not good for the General!
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 08:56 PM
Look, the man who wanted to be the SL President's Sec.?
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 09:34 PM
If you are in the opposition and make a mistake, you have to pay dearly!
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 10:28 PM
Next, SF!
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 10:37 PM
Is this the 'change' SF promised to SL citizens, during the last PE? Be 'clean,' before 'cleaning' others.
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 11:15 PM
To think that this person wanted to stop corruption! How the electorate was misled, at the Presidential election!
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 02:31 AM
I agree with you
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 02:32 AM
Very good corporation between corrupted governments.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 03:45 AM
Live and learn
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 03:57 AM
I think this is a conspiracy to discredit the General ;-)
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 06:15 PM
Whoa! ... This thing keeps getting better and better!
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:02 AM
This is the person who came to stop corruption in Sri Lanka. Now will see what JVP is going to say on this. ( UNP has already abandoned him who is once a hero and wanted to be the president on Sri Lanka )
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:06 AM
Good governance with these people.................?? God bless Sri Lanka.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:06 AM
Why can't they investigate the MIG deal also like this. We are sure that SF was not involved in this MIG deal.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:15 AM
The comments in this forum directly calls SF & Co., Guilty, but doesn't the term "Innoccent Until Proven Guilty" apply to Sri Lanka? Isn't it better for us public to make our choice based on the hard eveidence that comes forth, without just judging by comments made by several individuals. Arn't we the public supposed to behave more didligently than our politicos?
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:19 AM
The truth is there are enough dirt on many politicians in SL. The question is who is more clean!
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:19 AM
Come on SF supporters, defend this poor guy before they take him to the guillotine. I wonder where all the passionate SF supporters went.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:21 AM
If the Foreign Ministry & Belgian Emb in Colombo know nothing of this can the AG sue him? How can such an avalanche of allegations come up suddenly, only now - several months after SF retired as Army Commander & 3 months since his retirement? The more varied allegations there are - the harder to believe & accept such allegations. But not one allegation is yet proven - so SF is still innocent, Yu are innocent until proven guilty!
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:22 AM
Hi Chintha
Nice comment ,by the way how old are you? somewhere around 30 i guess,Please ask your Mother whether she used to work as a maid for MR 's Clan about 30 years ago
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:25 AM
But Sajith VG and Media man at Presidents office are not far behind - the latter on a suspended sentence I believe. They are all the same.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:27 AM
LOL ! where is JVP+SF lovers?
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:31 AM
Horrible comment. Shame on you. Chinthaka
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:33 AM
See the grave involvment of SF whom was to be elected as the president of this country by foolish 40,00000 odd people who eat grass in this country.
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 04:35 AM
