This is just a ploy by the government with the help of Red Elephant to appoint a political AG department. That way they can imprison half the opposition and continue their frauds.

Mr Marapana had a conflict of interest in this matter being the Minister in charge of investigations and also representing the parties involved as legal consultant in the past. The Government will do better without people who had private interest being nominated and appointing as cabinet ministers. People expect a lot from Mr Wikramasinghe and the yahapalanaya government and they avoid following the previous government although most of the members of the previous government have been made cabinet ministers.

Such ministers with vested interest should be reprimanded by the Prime Minister and the President and the portfolio of Marapana removed due to conflicting interest of being the Minister for Law and Order and appearing for the party accused of wrong doing on the said matter.

Cabinet is one body and has to be united for that body to function. These two are gangrene that needs to be amputated for the body to function.
