A suspect was taken into custody in Vavuniya for having in his possession a computer containing visuals displaying anti-state acts of the LTTE and their songs, the police media unit said today.
Police investigations revealed that the man had distributed the contents onto mobile phones of his customers.

In spite of all the Security measures (even to the detriment and annoyance of the innocent ordinary folk), arrests,harsh punishments etc several extremists organisations operate undeterred in USA, UK etc. Same applies to LTTE in Sri Lanka and abroad. We need to maintain security and close monitoring at least for another decade. The Police are overstreatched, so we need to keep troops deployed. Easing all controls will be a regrettable error.
